The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is a compact crossover SUV from Mitsubishi Motors, introduced in 2017. The
XR-PHEV en XR-PHEV II concept cars, unveiled in 2013 and 2015, formed the basis of the Eclipse Cross.
The production version was first introduced at the 87th Genève Moter Show in March 2017. The Eclipse Cross is located between the RVR / ASX / Outlander Sport and the Outlander in the Mitsubishi model range.
The name of this vehicle comes from the compact sports car Eclipse. Unlike the old Eclipse, however, the new Eclipse Cross is not made in the US, at its Diamond-Star Motors factory in February, which is now closed. Instead, the new SUV is assembled in Japan, at Mitsubishi itself.
